Kevin was born in Scotland of an Irish mother. He read music at UEA, Norwich, then won a scholarship to study at the Royal Academy of Music in London under the eminent opera baritone, Derek Hammond Stroud, O.B.E. He sang on the film sound tracks of Lord of the Rings and Star Wars. He subsequently trained for 3 years at East 15 Acting School. He toured Japan as the Male Principal Singer in 5 large-scale musical theatre shows for NYK Cruises. He is due to film his first feature comedy as Helmut in Rannygazoo, directed by Jonathan Coote. His most recent theatre work includes playing Peter Mandelson in The Sitcom Trials at the Leicester Square Theatre, as Fred in the UK premiere of the Estonian comedy, Happy Everyday, at the Lion & Unicorn and as Father Howard in The Will at The Etcetera Theatre and Minstrel in Cromwell’s Tour of Ireland at the Courtyard Theatre.
Kevin appears regularly for London Irish Theatre in their productions. As well as being a pianist and accordionist, Kevin has a private singing teaching practice.
