Here we have our September list of Notable dates for festivals in the coming month of September, nearer the end of the year, there appear to be more events than deadlines, but you may find a few that interest you!
BAFTA Scotland qualifying festival, which has selected our short Lavender’s Blue this year!
The short film Lavender’s Blue, starring Stine Olsen and Natalie Sloth Richter has been selected for the BAFTA qualifying Portabello Road Film Festival in September. The screenplay was written, in Danish, by (director) Saranne Bensusan and inspired by the nursery rhyme written by Rachael Howard for the short story “Memories” for The Anthropocene Chronicles
As we get towards the end of the year, their are fewer deadlines and submissions, and we find that the calendar is for the most part dominated by the actual events themselves, the first of the month has several deadlines though.

Here is our list of Notable festival dates for July. For those of you with shorts there are some interesting deadlines here: Leeds, Zinebi and Curtacinema; are all both BAFTA and Oscar qualifying
BAFTA, and academy qualifying festival
This month has BAFTA and Oscar qualifiers scattered throughout the month but as far as festivals go, it is dominated mainly by Palm Springs ShortsFest
but do pay attentiton to the important deadlines on the fifteenth especially if you are a short film maker, as there are two BAFTA qualifying festivals closing their submissions on that date.
