hot on the trail of the Portsmouth film festival’s award, Saranne Bensusan‘s stop-motion adventure The Hunting of the Snark has been awarded Best Animated Feature by the Maverick Movie Awards. Our director, Saranne Bensusan, received two nominations for Best Director and Best Editing. There was a “Best Music” nomination for our composer, Guthrie Lowe, for his wonderful score. Last but by no means least, a Nomination for Special achievement in Art Direction & Set Design (Saranne Bensusan and Chris Wright)
Snark wins Best Animated Feature in Portsmouth
Saranne Bensusan‘s stop-motion feature The Hunting of the Snark has won Best Animated Feature Film at the Portsmouth International Film Festival. We’d like to congratulate Saranne and her team.
Film Guide for Portsmouth Film Festival now available
The Film guide for the Portsmouth International Film Festival, where The Hunting of the Snark plays of Friday, is now available online. The Snark is nominated for two awards: “Best Animated Feature” and “Best Sound Design in an Animation” and will be playing on screen one at the University.
Five nominations for Snark and one for Mono from Maverick Movie awards
The Hunting of the Snark has been nominated in five categories by the Maverick Movie Awards, these are Best Animation,Best Director, Best Editing, Best Music and Special Achievement in Art Direction and Set Design, shared by Saranne Bensusan and Chris Wright.
Snark screening at Portsmouth Film Festival annouced for Friday 23rd
The Screening of The Hunting of the Snark at the Portsmouth International Film Festival has been announced for Friday the 23rd of September and will take place on Screen one, which is located at The Eldon Building at The University of Portsmouth (PO1 2DJ). The Snark has been nominated in two categories, “Best animated feature” and “Sound Design in an Animation” and the screenings at the University are free for Students to attend.
Nicola’s Shedim make Selecciòn Oficial at Tenebra Film Fest in Guadlajara
we are delighted to announce that our mirco-short Nicola’s Shedim has been selected for the Tenebra Film Fest in October in Guadlajara. The film that was written and produced by Saranne Bensusan will be part of the Selecciòn Oficial when the festival takes place next month.
Mano a Mono selected for Ayr International Short Film Festival
Mano a Mono has been selected for the Ayr International Short Film Festival in Western Scotland later this Month. The film starring Tom Bonington and Sharon Lawrence has already done well on the festival circuit being selected for numerous festivals and picking up awards.
