We learned today that among the many awards that The Hunting of the Snark has won over the last eighteen months, was the Best Animated Narrative Feature at the California Online Viewers Choice Awards. we can only apologise for not recognising this award sooner, it has been a very busy year for the Snark,however we would like to say that we are very please with with the decision and would like to thank all those that voted for it.

hot on the trail of the Portsmouth film festival’s award, Saranne Bensusan‘s stop-motion adventure The Hunting of the Snark has been awarded Best Animated Feature by the Maverick Movie Awards. Our director, Saranne Bensusan, received two nominations for Best Director and Best Editing. There was a “Best Music” nomination for our composer, Guthrie Lowe, for his wonderful score. The Screening of The Hunting of the Snark at the Portsmouth International Film Festival has been announced for Friday the 23rd of September and will take place on Screen one, which is located at The Eldon Building at The University of Portsmouth (PO1 2DJ). The Snark has been nominated in two categories, “Best animated feature” and “Sound Design in an Animation” and the screenings at the University are free for Students to attend. read more

The film finished post production in April 2015, and went to the Marché du Film at the Cannes Film Festival in May 2015, where it was well received. Since then, it has made the official selection of 10 international film festivals, including three comic cons, and has also been selected for Toronto Film Week in September 2016, which runs alongside the Toronto Film Festival. It has also picked up six awards during its time on the festival circuit. read more
